Welcome to Ruback's Food Center in Oakland Iowa

We are an independent, locally owned, family run, full service grocery store. We strive to have the best quality products and lowest prices made available to the small independent retailer.

The Reed family purchased the store in 2006. Brad, Phil, Stan, and Chuck grew up and graduated from here in Oakland. It is our goal to keep the store locally owned. We pride ourselves in supporting the local school, clubs, and organizations far better than the out-of-town corporations that are our competitors.

Ruback's features the best, top quality produce and meat offerings in the area. Our meat department features hand-cut selections unlike the factory cut, gas injected meats featured in the large corporate chain stores. We also offer a full line of frozen, dairy, liquor, bakery, and grocery items. Our hot and ready-to-eat deli features both broasted and rotisserie chicken and sandwiches.

As always, if we don't carry a certain item you'd like, just ask and we'll do our best to get it for you. We appreciate your patronage and look forward to serving you soon.

We accept most major credit and debit cards and have our own Ruback's gift cards available for holiday and year around gift giving.
